Belfast Venues
Getting There:
- You enter the venue from Royal Avenue through large blue double doors.
- You then walk through a corridor with a shallow incline, and handrails on both sides.
- The Atypical Gallery is the first door on the right.
- You can park outside on Royal Avenue if you have a Blue Badge. There are two Blue Badge spaces 30 yards from the front door.
- The closest bus stops are outside Belfast Central Library and Craft NI.
Inside the Venue:
- The Atypical Gallery is on one level. There are no steps at the entrance.
- There is a large accessible bathroom with a changing table and hoist.
- Additional Information:
- We can provide an outlet for powered wheelchairs (advance notice is necessary).
- We have a quiet space available upon request. Bounce Festival volunteers will be on hand to provide assistance.
- Some have training in British Sign Language, visual and deaf awareness, and audio description.
Getting There:
- You enter The Black Box from Hill Street. There is step-free access and automatic doors.
- The closest accessible parking is at St. Anne’s Cathedral. This is 0.2 miles from the Black Box.
- You can ask a taxi to drop you off outside the door.
- Inside the Venue:
- There are two accessible toilets. One is in the main venue space. The other is in The Green Room Bar.
- The building is all on one level.
Additional Information:
- Carer/personal assistant tickets are free, if you need support when visiting the venue.
- You can bring medication, food, or equipment into the venue.
- Assistance dogs are welcome (advance notification is necessary).
- You can request ear plugs.

- There is step-free access via automatic doors.
- The nearest parking is on Lower Crescent Avenue.
Inside the Venue:
- You can access all areas via ramps and lifts.
- All the doors are wide. Most of the doors open automatically.
- There are accessible toilets on every floor. There is a Changing Places facility on the ground floor.
- There is Tactile Signage in important places in the building. All the signs are made to be easy to read.
- There are induction loops at reception and in The Cube, and also two portable loop systems.
- Assistance dogs are welcome.

- You enter The Duncairn from Duncairn Avenue.
- There are two Blue Badge parking spaces on the grounds.
- The entrance is on the same level as the street. The doors are automatic.
Inside the Venue:
- There is a café and accessible toilet on the ground floor.
- The performance space is upstairs. You can access it by lift.
- Different events may have different seating arrangements. You can get in touch if you have seating requests.
- Assistance dogs are welcome.
- You can bring any medicines, food, or equipment to the venue.

Getting There
You enter Queen’s Film Theatre from University Square.
There are no Blue Badge spaces on this street.
Blue Badge holders can use spaces in the car park of Queen’s University Belfast after 4:00 pm every day. This car park is across the street from the cinema.
There is step-free entry via a ramp at 21 University Square, next door to the cinema.
You can open the door using an electronic push pad.
Inside the Venue
There is an accessible toilet.
Guide dogs are welcome.
The seats in Screen 1 have solid armrests. The seats are 48 centimetres wide and 45 centimetres deep. There is approximately 24 centimetres of legroom.
The seats in Screen 1 have free floating arm rests. The seats are 48 centimetres wide and 48 centimetres deep. There is approximately 27 centimetres of legroom.
Staff can also put foyer chairs in the viewing area. These chairs have no arm rests and are 45 centimetres wide and 45 centimetres deep.
The cinema has a loop system in both screens.
The cinema offers Audio Description and Descriptive Subtitling on selected films.

There is ramp access to the front entrance of the building.
There is step free access to the public areas of the building.
Inside the Venue:
Door frames are wide enough for wheelchairs.

The venue has a hearing loop.

- You access Sonic Arts Research Centre from Chlorine Gardens, which is off the Malone Road.
- There is a security barrier which will be raised throughout this event.
- There is Blue Badge parking in the Sonic Arts Research Centre car park.
- There is step-free access to the venue via a ramp.
- The main door has automatic push-pad control.
Inside the Venue:
- There is an accessible toilet in the building.
- There will be step-free access to all spaces.
- The main performance area has metal grille flooring, but there will be solid floor panels on the floor for this performance.

- You can get there with the Translink number 2 (2j, 2k, 2m) bus. The nearest bus stop is the T & G Transport House, which is 0.1 miles from Circusful.
- The nearest train stations are Great Victoria Street and Lanyon Place. They are around 0.8 miles from Circusful.
- The closest Blue Badge parking spaces are on Dunbar Street.

Derry Venues
Getting There:
You enter the Centre for Contemporary Art from Artillery Street.
There are parking spaces outside, next to the city walls.
The closest car park with Blue Badge spaces is in Carlisle Street. It costs 60p per hour.
Inside the Venue:
The gallery space has step-free access.
There is an accessible toilet in the venue.
The Centre for Contemporary Art has a Rogers pen and MyLink receiver for visitors to borrow during their visit. You can ask a member of staff in the office for more information.

The main performance area can be accessed via a lift.

Getting There:
You enter The Playhouse on Artillery Street, one minute from Foyleside Shopping Centre.
It is advisable to park in the Foyleside Shopping Centre car park. This is paid parking.
On-street Blue Badge parking is often busy, and on steep streets.
The approach is step-free. There is a shallow incline.
The entrance doors are automatic.
Inside the Venue:
There is Braille signage on staircases and lifts.

You enter Void Arts Centre from the Strand Road on Waterloo Place. The entrance is on the same level as the street.
Inside the Venue:
There is a ramp inside the door, which leads to the foyer, front desk, and gallery spaces.

The accessible toilet can be accessed from gallery 2.
