Atypical Gallery
Our gallery hosts exhibitions and events that support the work of d/Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent artists based in Northern Ireland. The programme runs throughout the year, and showcases work of artists working in diverse media, themes and styles.
The Atypical Gallery takes part in the monthly Late Night Art Belfast event on the first Thursday of every month.

Open Call for Digital Technology Gallery Exhibition
University of Atypical for Arts and Disability is inviting eligible artists working in any medium or genre to submit applications for an exciting Open Call opportunity with the theme of Digital Technology, for an exhibition in the Atypical Gallery.
This opportunity is open to artists who self-identify as d/Deaf, disabled or neurodivergent. The exhibition will take place in the Atypical Gallery from 5 March to 28 April 2026.
The artist who is selected will:
- receive a £900 fee
- present a body of work for an exhibition in the Atypical Gallery from 5 March until 28 April 2026
- present a gallery talk about their work
